“ We came here for a late lunch and it was so good! Everyone was super friendly and our server was very attentive. Food is AMAZING. They have a whole vegetarian section on the menu (I think the veggie tacos could be easily made vegan). And the margaritas were great. I can’t believe it took us so long to try this place but we’ll be back asap! ”
“ This place is great! Showed up about 45 min before they closed and was happily welcomed in by the staff. The food was outstanding! Highly recommend the Tacos and also Carne Asada. Sopapillas were outstanding. One of the best New Mexican restaurants in the ABQ. ”
“ Every time work sends me to ABQ I try to make it over here. The food is unpretentious and great. The atmosphere is relaxed. There are lots of great places to eat in town, but if you just want to relax and have some great food you will tell others about. Come here. I only wish they still bottled their salsa. It's really out of this world and likely not like anything you've had before, especially if you aren't from the area. ”
“ Came here with my sister when she came in for a visit. The food was fantastic and the waiter we had was amazing. Anyone looking to try good New Mexican food will not be disappointed. I loved the salsa they served with the chips (wish I had the recipe). ”
“ If you’re ever in Albuquerque and craving authentic, mouth-watering Mexican food, Los Cuates is a must-visit. From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and vibrant decor set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional meal. We were lucky enough to have Rene as our server, and he truly made our experience outstanding. His attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and genuine hospitality didn’t go unnoticed. He checked in regularly, made great recommendations, and ensured our glasses (and chips!) were never empty. It’s rare to find someone so passionate about providing great service—Rene deserves a shout-out for going above and beyond. As for the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was rich in flavor and beautifully prepared—from the homemade salsa and fresh guacamole to the sizzling fajitas and lite chicken burrito that melted in your mouth. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by Los Cuates. And if you’re lucky enough to be seated in Rene’s section, you’re in for a top-tier dining experience! ”
“ Family from out of town were impressed with the food as well as the margaritas. Very generous portions of food crafted with fresh ingredients. Attentive service. We were there on a Thursday evening and it was not too busy. I had the chicken enchiladas. Very good and I had leftovers. Highly recommend if you're craving Mexican food. ”
“ I have been to this location many times and never received the amazing service I did this last time. Joshua B. was so attentive, he quickly got us waters and asked what drinks we would like. He was also very personable and you could truly tell he wanted us to have a good experience. ”
“ I had an incredible experience here. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. There were plenty of well decorated spaces for dining options. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. The virgin margaritas weren’t that great but it was worth the try. Everyone was super nice. Even the other patrons. It felt like a family meal. The food portions are huge and you can get full off the chips and salsa alone. I took my leftovers to go and they provided utensils and packaging which was super helpful. The service alone would definitely make me come back here and most importantly the food was delicious. ”
